The Khan Academy is another amazing initiative for self educating. The site is the brain child of Sal Khan, a graduate of MIT and Harvard. He also gives most of the talks on the site. These talks are organized mostly as ten minute videos on a given topic, mostly science and math related. I personally have found them to be excellent clear reviews of math and statistics, things I have needed for my research work.
Wow- wish I knew about this when I was barely scraping through statistics ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info about such sites- amazing to know about the resources out there...
Do you think that it is really logical to implement his idea of using the videos to teach and having class time to review the concepts? A little scary if you ask me...
